great vocals juxtaposed
This is a fun EP. Each song is complicated in its simplicity.
For example the first track: "You + Me = Not to Be" showcases bluesy vocals (with fun harmonies) over a sparse jazzy track occasionally augmented by a fun bell beat.
If you are a fan of strong and emotive vocals then "Peace for a Place" will get you going...I close my eyes and let it take me away.
This review could not be complete without mentioning track 5...a great mix of slow and fun. I am pretty sure words cant explain the smile that works its way to your face while listening to this one.
Tracks 3 and 4 are good too, and round out the sound with some beats and strings.
Anyway, I enjoy this EP: its short, diverse and heavy on the creative vocals and layered backdrops. I heartily recommend.
Wonderfulness
Maura is amazing. This EP is perfection! Everyone should have it. Makes me want to dance, sing, and create ROCK ON.
Fun Variety!
Each song has a unique flavor with multiple layers of harmonies and tones. And all five songs create a wonderful EP which takes you on a melodious journey.
