AMAZING ALBUM!!!!

This is an absolutely amazing album. Produced by Robbie Brenniman of the Vocal Trance band Dba, this is the dance album Howard should have done 10 years ago. But with that being said, I'm so glad he did it now. Riding high on three world wide #1 hits in the last four months with the Mohito feat Howard Jones "Slip Away" single, "Just Look at us now" remixes and "revolution of the heart" remixes as well as updated remixes of "What Is Love" and the Eric Prydz 2005 mix of "Thinks Can Only Get Better" . . . this is an Amazing year for Howard. This album takes the cake as one of the most beautifully crafted and emotionally complex dance albums ever made. Madonna's "Confessions..." album is childs play next to a techno vetran like Howard Jones. You all must buy the record if for no other track than the amazing final break beat track "For You, See Me". Only drawback, the remixes aren't included as they are on a 2 disc Austrialian version of this album. - dj matt consola

Brilliant Piece of Work

Everyone should give this recording a listen. I've been a HoJo fan for over 20 years now and this is by far the greatest he has created! The music is unlike anything that has ever been produced and the lyrics are amazing. I love all of the songs, but my most favorite is Stir It Up. "Rock the boat, shake the tree, you gotta Stir It Up sometimes..." The music alone with knock your socks off on this track! In the recording as a whole, you can really feel the heart-felt messages in the lyrics by the way he sings them. HoJo is a genius and is just so uplifting and fun to listen to, especially here. He deserves so much more credit than what he has been given and is definately under-appreciated amongst the music world.

Presence of Other

Track # 6, The Presence of Other, is Howard's best track ever. 20 years late? Who cares!! This album is a timewarp. It is 1983 all over again, and Human's Lib was just released in vinyl. The Howard revolution. No I am not hallucinating. This song was worth waiting more than 20 years since Human's Lib and Dream Into Action and all the subsequent attempts which seemed to stray a little bit further off base from those first 2 albums. Only original Howard fans who have stuck with him for the last 25 years, who listened to every new Howard album waiting for the next Human's Lib but only got pieces of it will fully appreciate this song, this album for what it is-- devious, full of surprises, irony, complexity, humility, silliness, deeply retrospective, absolutely uncompromising Howard Jones, a masterpiece. There is not one, weak track on this album which does not make an authoritative statement about the electronic music genre.
