Modern Funk Music at its best.
Way before Timberlake did the whole "Prince inspired my tired..." thing...there was this kid. THis is probably the only artist really USING a LinnDrum (LM-2) which is a bit more involving than Cubase, Reason, etc. or some sampler touch pads... Nonetheless, Nick successfully draws from his Prince influence and inspiration to come up with a great album that intrigues and pushes some Pop/R&B and Funk music and ideas. Rarely do artists who are influenced by Prince come up with original stuff thats not cheezy or pretentious or over the top (Nikka, Timberlame, etc...). Stand out track is Insane. Funkiest, wierdest Funk since Camille. Hot stuff. My only advice, find the One and your Funk will fly!
