Why do people catagorize A-ha in the "One hit wonder catagory...."

When these guys have had very successful careers both as a band and all have wonderful solo careers! Morten Harket's solo album "Wild Seed" (just to name one of his works) is beyond magnificent. Pal's band "Savoy" has done wonderful work. Mag's solo work as well is wonderful and as is his work w/Timbersound...WONDERFUL. If you take notice you will see that they are still puttin things out! Latest album was released less than a year ago and it is just brillant. Don't brush these guys off as "One hit wonders" because that they aren't! You won't find "Wild Seed" on here but I HIGHLY Recommend it to any and all. :-)

What can you say about pure greatness?

Like curency is the bedrock of modern society - a-ha tracks remain the bedrock of modern electronic music. From their ground-breaking videos to their esoteric shyness - they are still crafting music that is post modern, Simply stated; they are one of the greatest band that ever was/are!

Not a full album, but satisfying.

As long as "Take On Me" is included on this entry to Rhino's "Hi-Five" serious, it earns my reccomendation.

By late 1983 they had achieved part of that goal by signing to WEA. "Take on Me" took three times to become a hit in the U.K., eventually hitting number two in November 1985. Going one better in the U.S. mainly due to the wide exposure of its stunning video on MTV, which fused...
