If you are a big fan of instrumental pop or smooth jazz, you'll probably enjoy saxophonist Richard Elliot's cover of the Stylistics' hit "You Make Me Feel Brand New" on Ricochet as well as a few of the pleasant original tunes.

Similarities
by B-Love4639While one reviewer mentioned the similarities to Richard Elliot and other current smooth jazz sax players (although no names were mentioned) this is "smooth jazz" and not the more improvisational straight-ahead or contemporary jazz. But believe me Elliot has the chops for it. You need only see him and the others LIVE and they are truly great musicans. No, not Coltrane or Parker, but great in their own right. This is a fine album and thoroughly enjoyable!

Music you just love to hate
by Babe the BlueOxThrow all of these guys in a basket, shake them up and you can't tell them apart. Completely souless. Trane, Byrd, Bird, Miles, Freddie, Cannonball where are you? This clueless generation of musicians needs direction. Studio managers should throw these guys out and ban them until they grow some creativity.
