THE MAN BEHIND GnR

One listen to any of IZZY's solo work and it is easy to figure out who was THE MAN behind the GnR music. His songwriting, guitar playing and cast of musicians on his solo stuff is stellar, and if you don't believe me take one listen to Slash's and Duff's solo stuff. In comparison, their music is dated, typical and not good. All of IZZY's music is great! So when someone writes, Izzy is not GnR, don't believe them. Just do a compare and contrast and the music will do the talking.

Awesome music but so-so lyrics

This has some awesome music on it...Izzy is an excellent musician. The only "negative" comment is that the lyrics Izzy writes aren't what they used to be. There are some songs, a lot of them, that just repeat the same lyric over and over. Not to say the song still doesn't rock, because of the music, but I am longing to see Izzy write some songs like Mr. Brownstone, and my favorite Izzy song 14 Years. Regardless of the fact that those were GNR songs, Izzy wrote them. Having said that, I still listen to all of Izzy's work DAILY and frequent chopaway.com, as Izzy will rock on forever!!

Another great effort from Izzy

Every song on this cd is great. Izzy is a talented songwriter/musician. I would highly recommend this and River cd for your collection. Trust me, once you listen to these two cd's you'll be hooked! To list some of the highlights of this cd would be a disservice, every song is good.

Stradlin's exit from the group in 1991 also signaled the beginning of the end for G N' R, as they became more of the "Axl Rose Show" and less of a full-fledged band.
