The Best Scheherazade
This version of Scheherazade is not only a brilliant performance, but the recording quality is superb as well. A version with just as wonderful in musicianship but less impressive in recording quality is the one by Herbert von Karajan with the Berliner Philharmoniker.
Best Violin Solo of Scheherazade
The concertmaster solo is amazingly clean! The best I've heard to date. This recording is one of those recordings where you are glad that someone was there to record it. I wish I was there.
The Best Version
This is the best version I have heard. If there is a better one, someone should post it. This is a very modern symphony which tells an ancient fable. The violin solos which are Scheherazade telling her enthralling stories sing to your soul and resonate in the spirt of the listener.
