great album

Difficult to Decide...so I won
by BiggyMiggyI have both versions now (the UK on iTunes and USA on vinyl) and they both have upsides. I am glad that the UK version didn't omit the "do do do do" on "Rio". I think I like the Kershenbaum version of "My Own Way" better, it's less echoey and a little beefier on the mixing at the beginning. Of course, I also think that vinyl sounds about 100% more exciting than MP3, but alas I appreciate both formats. Also, I paid $1.50 for "Rio" on vinyl and $7.99 for it on MP3 (which doesn't even have a booklet/sleeve - LOL!). I have to say that I also like the tighter/shorter version of HLTW on the MP3 version better. The Kershenbaum version is too long and lengthens it with filler (a.k.a. the sort of piccolo sound of the synth which then at greater length in the Kershenbaum version becomes a bit boring). Like my subject line reads, I like both and since I can't listen to vinyl in my car, I'll listen to the iTunes version there and the USA version in my man cave which centers around the turntable displayed prominently.

by duranfanThis album is amazing! My absolute favorite Duran Duran album. All of the songs are great, especially Hungry LIke the Wolf, Hold Back the Rain, Rio, Save A Prayer, etc. A defnite Classic!!!
