Hope Rising (2009) finds Georgia-based singer/songwriter Steve Fee and his bandmates offering hosannas against backdrops of surging guitars and rippling drums. Those drawn to anthemic worship numbers will be uplifted by “Rise and Sing,” “Greatly to Be Praised,” “Your Love Is Better Than Life” and similar modern-rock hymns. Fee’s ability to lead the faithful in shaking the rafters is obvious, but of equal interest are their more reflective, subtly textured numbers. “Everything Falls,” a sleek tune built around piano, conveys a sanctified message of reassurance, while “Arms That Hold the Universe” (written in response to a tragic Illinois church shooting) has a luminous, slightly unearthly grace about it. Electronica elements color a number of tracks, especially the “Promised Land,” combining techno-dance rhythms with a traditionally rooted melody. “Send Me Out” — a galvanizing declaration of mission — closes the album on an ascending note.

More of the same.

I'm not sure I see (or hear) much difference between this albulm and all the rest of his - or the rest of CCM worship stream for that matter. I think this lacks creativity and caters to a certain market who loves this genre and doesn't care about artistic integrity or orgionallity.

Musiclly is decent. It sounds good, theya are a cool band. But at the end of they day, they are just one monre trendy christian bands from Atlanta.

This albulm is for church folk. Not sure thats a bad thing - but I just don't think it's really competitive or orgional enough to compete in the mainstream market.

I say, save your money and buy a Dave Mathews CD, or better yet, give it to the poor. Thats a better form of worship anyway.

Amazing

Love their music, didn't think they could top their last cd, but they did. We crown You is one of my favs. and the whole cd is great. All glory to you God. Thank you Fee for music I can truly worship with.

Their Best Yet!

Musically and lyrically this is an incredible album. From start to finish, Fee takes the listener through a thoughtfully laid out worship experience - from "jump up and shout" moments to "fall on your knees" moments. Every song carries a powerful message of hope and praise. Talented musicians, great vocals, and soon-to-be-imitated guitar tones. Well worth the money.
