Customer Reviews
Beautiful
I love her works so entirely much. The music is great, especially for one so young! Life In Rewind, and Whispers of the Dove are particularly sensational because of the message and tone of Margot. Her vocals surpass anything I have ever seen. A definite buy, along with her new album, Torn.
OK
Alright, this is her first CD, and look how unpopular she is! She NEEDED the rock edge. Thank you to the producer of her second CD, Torn! ~Em
In perspective
Hmm...Jordin's Girl, you're reviewing the producer, not the album. "Rising" is a sincere, melodic piece of work from a 12-year-old. The skill that went into writing these songs is exceptional, and her voice is extraordinary. The differences between "Rising" and her second CD are vast, beyond the rock edge--her voice and her lyrics are growing. As an artist, she's chosen to grow in front of us, so we'll hear the physical differences in sound as her voice matures and the style differences as she develops as an artist. I'd hesitate to say "look how unpopular she is" and attribute that to the lack of a good producer. I'd hesitate to say that she's unpopular at all, and attribute the lesser vsibilty of this CD compared to her second CD to a number of things, including being 12 years old, and having a team of people who wouldn't allow her image to be pushed beyond what's beneficial for a 12-year-old. No doubt the production on her second CD is great--but looking at this work and suggesting a "rock edge" is the difference between the success of the two CDs is too simplistic.
