Very pleased fan, here.
This is the recording I've been wishing for ever since I saw these guys live. Every track here is true to their strengths: precise playing, thrilling energy, a boatload of personality, lyrics with both a wonderful sense of humor and a bittersweet, weary understanding. If we weren't laughing we'd be crying. And if we weren't busy dancing so hard, we'd be drinking way more.

Riverboat Soul really grows on you!
Had the chance to see Pokey LaFarge and the South City Three in St. Louis at Off Broadway this past month. Really a great show, and they showcased the new release, Riverboat Soul.
After seeing the show and purchasing the new release, I've really enjoyed listening to all the songs.
This is really genuine music, straight from the heart. Every song is played wonderfully, and you want to listen more and more!
