Album Review

Pieced together rather quickly, Robbin' the Hood wasn't really intended to be the follow-up to Sublime's debut, 40 Oz. to Freedom, but what is shocking is how much better the record is than its predecessor. Boasting a wider range of influences — including elements of reggae and old-school hip-hop — the record is a loose, infectious blend of styles that rides along on its own sense of energy. Brad Nowell's songwriting might still be at a rudimentary level, but the group sounds more muscular and musical than before, demonstrating that the breakthrough of its sole major-label record, Sublime, wasn't an accident.

Good but sad

This is a great cd to listen to to recapture the sub bass days in Cali but I think 40 oz. Is a better view of sublime. Everytime I listen to this album all I hear is a cry of help to stop the heroin that eventually killed him. If your gonna do anything just smoke it up and leave the rest alone! Please

Great.... Enough Said

Going into this album i wasnt expecting much but i was surprised for the better... Cisco Kid is just insane to vibe to... Lincoln Highway Dub is Santeria essentially just really bass heavy and instrumental... Just listen to the whole thing and you wont be disappointed... Oh and theres a Gwen Stefani duet for those who like her and stuff

Sublime is the greatest band of all time

Sublime is the greatest band of all time, Bradly Nowell is a God. I hate all of the people that say they like sublime and only know like the four most famous songs. Those songs are alright but the best songs are KRS-one, Steppin Razor, Mary, and Greatest Hits, and all of there live songs are amazing

Formed in Long Beach, CA, in 1988 as a garage punk band, Sublime grew to fame in the mid-'90s on the back of the Cali punk explosion engendered by Green Day and the Offspring, though Sublime mixed up their punk rage with reggae and ska influences. The band released just two albums during its first seven...
