tribute to Dead Or Alive
this album is the shiznet! I am usually very critical when it comes to covers, but each artist does justice to every song on here, and being a big fan of Dead Or Alive that says alot! Totally buy this and share it with friends!
Some great new mixes of DOA favorites
I like most of the 16 tracks. Favorits include Stop Kicking My Heart Arond, There's Something In My House, In Too Deep and Lover Come Back to Me. Some good electro and synthpop. Any fan of Dead or Alive or early '80s synthpop will love this release. Of course, none are as good as the originals.. but then again, this is a cover album. One surprise was "Isn't It A Pity". Very '70s influenced, eclectic, moody, trippy... Vocals remind me of early Kate Bush. Not synthpop, but electronic. Thought "You Spin Me Round" could be better considering it was one of their biggest hits... While this version has a lot energy and bounce, I prefer the synthpop original. Some good production here. Nothing too "made in the basement" sounding. Technology has given the world a gift. Glad some folks are have enough talent to use it correctly.
