Great song!
A HUGE thank you to Barry to release this great song to us Brad Delp fans. What a classic good feelin' rock n' roll song. I'll be playing this one over and over again. Brad Delp, may you rest in peace. Your voice will last forever. Thank you SO much for your wonderful music throughout the years!
The first riff had me hooked
When I heard Barry had released this single, I was excited. I only hoped it would live up to my expectations. The first riff gave me more than a feelin' I was listening to a real rock 'n' roll band. Then I heard Brad's golden pipes, full of power, yet rich and mellow, singing from his heart. "All that I ever wanted was to be what I am." The guitar work on this piece is fantastic; Barry gives it just the right combination of catchy riffs, steady rhythm and virtuosic solos to complement Brad's vocals, which range from warm and mellow to soaring heights. The production is just right, too. Finished but not overproduced; it's reminiscent of an outstanding live performance. The bottom line is that this duo shows once again that the band formerly known as Boston continued under the nomme de plume of Delp & Goudreau. 30 years later, its not really different today; it's as fresh as it ever was and as timeless as it will always be. Barry & Brad brought back what I thought I was not going to hear in this life again...the fresh sound of a Rock n' Roll band once called... BOSTON!!
