Solid third effort by The Eliminators!

Room To Move is a strong album, and as implied by the name, the strength is in the bands’ willingness to expand their musical horizons. Snake Eyes sounds like it was lifted directly from a Sergio Leon spaghetti western, Pool Party does a fine job of channeling The Champs’ Tequila, and Sonic Blue is a surfing stoner’s wet dream (Hey - I’m talking about floating around in the water off of Trestles or Doheny. Get your mind out of the gutter!!!).

Might some hardcore surf music aficionados grumble a little? Maybe – as noted, the Eliminators stretch their wings some on this outing; it’s not all 1-4-5 and heavy reverb… though that’s not to say the sound is abandoned. Check out Revenge Of The Cowabunga Thunder Melvins, one of several tunes purists can sink their teeth into.

If I had to voice any criticism, it’s that the bass is too far down in the mix on some of the tracks, at least for my taste. But, that’s a minor complaint. This album is a solid collection of catchy instrumentals and quality musicianship, and if you’ve ever seen the band live, well - Room To Move captures the upbeat feel of any Eliminators show you may have attended. Give it a listen!

Room To Move

Along time in coming. I'm sorry to say I expected better. Too many tunes sounded like something from a bad beach movie.I've got all your stuff and I'll keep listening to it.Sorry to come down so hard. Still a fan...
