iTunes Review
The Cranberries smartly teamed up with their original producer, Stephen Street, for their first studio album in more than a decade. Singer Dolores O'Riordan has matured as a vocalist, shearing off her delivery’s gritty edges for a prettiness her younger self might have rejected as too soft. Several of the tunes—"Someday," "Raining in My Heart," "Astral Projections"—were reportedly scheduled for their 2004 album that never was, and the ensuing years have given the group a stronger authority on the material. The ballads here are especially well-executed, with "Fire & Soul" combining acoustic guitars and electronic textures to soothing results. "Tomorrow" reflects the advantage of perspective that comes with age. "Schizophrenic Playboy" builds in layers of sound redolent of shoegaze, with a sharp ‘90s alt-rock overlay. By staying close to what they do best and having a better idea of how to stay in their zone, The Cranberries have made a comeback album that's a worthy improvement to their catalog. The deluxe edition adds live versions of two classics: "Linger" and "Zombie."

First Review!
I've listened to The Cranberries for some time now, and i admit their old stuff was really good. Dreams was amazing, and so was Zombie. But that was twenty years ago, and this is now. The girl still sounds the same haha, so thats cool. It may not be an amazing album but its pretty good. It nice that they came back after all these years to make a new one. Their first great album came out when i was born, and when i found out they were making a new one i thought that was pretty sick. You guys are great and I hope you continue to make great music.
Awesome
So glad to here The Cranberries again! I wish iTunes would promote them better though...had to really dig around to find it, would have never known they released a new album if i hadn't read about it on Facebook. When I click on "new albums" and sort by date...I expect to see everything released that day! Whats up iTunes? Why is "Roses" #2 in the Rock category, but has no listing on the main Home page? Love you, Cranberries!!! :)
It will satisfy Cran Fans
There was something about the shy yet powerful young lady whose voice blew listeners away but whose eyes were afraid to look into the camera or screaming crowd back in the 90's. No longer inexperienced and far from shy I am disappointed at times Dolores holds back at producing the powerful vocals so loved in songs like "Dreams" and "Zombie". However, songs like "Conduct", "Tomorrow", and "Raining in My Heart" still stay true to the original sound many of us have grown to love in the band over the past 20 years. Their comeback is much welcomed and may even attract a few new listeners.
