iTunes Review
"You Got the Love" and "Tell me Something Good" proved that Chaka Khan could be both playful and sensual at the same time. But it wasn't until Rufusized in 1974 that she showed her truly spectacular colors. Even without a major hit, this disc presents Khan and her new band as a sparkling, non-formulaic act that could tackle rock and funk as well as jazz and R&B. There were big songs like "Once You Get Started" and the sexy Bobby Womack cover "Stop On By" for starters, but every cut here burns with the sweaty passion of great soul music.

The Best
This is Rufus at it's best. They sharpened their song writting skills with the addition of guitarist Tony Maiden. There isn't a bad song on this album and if your just being introduced to Rufus, this is the best one to start with. Although you might be slightly disappointed with the other ones if you start here first.
Stop On By!
My first ITunes review. I just had to chime in on Rufusized. This is one of my favorite albums of all time and has been for 35 years!!. It is FULL of incredible songs. They don't make 'em like this anymore-they wouldn't even know how. Rufus was a fantastic band. Though based in R&B, they were clearly influenced by jazz, folk, and rock, but the flavor is unmistakably R&B/Soul. "Your Smile" and "Please Pardon Me" are must have slow jams for any serious Chaka Khan fan, and "Once You Get Started" is a classic party jam with Chaka wailing like crazy. (I can't think of a single current R&B lady that could cover that song convincingly.) Rufusized is simply great music. It has mood and texture and excellent songwriting. If you ever liked anything by Rufus, you'll find something here to love. Classic!
The VERY Best of Rufus!
This one has always been my fav...still have the album and it's worn out! This is a "must" for Rufus fans!
