Pay respect to the pioneers of Frisco Rap

This album has some sweet G-Funk beats, and some fun but also serious rhymes. Hitman (not the guy from 2001) is an underrated MC, and Mr. Cee and Black C have that fresh old school/new school appeal that was common back in 1994. Bounce to This is an instant party starter, and Blue Bird is really addictive. I can live with the primitive rhyme schemes because these guys were (I'm 99% sure) the first ones to represent San Fran. On their first album A Lesson to Be Learned they have this song that everyone needs to check out, called Don't Give Me No Bammer. This song is the best song RBL Posse has ever done. Sadly Mr. Cee was shot 9 times and killed in 1996, RBL Posse dropped another album (although Hitman dropped some solo albums) and then Hitman was killed in 2003. Black C, the least talented member of the group, put out Last Man Standing in 2003, but never again would he achieve the greatness of RBL's first two albums.

NWA by the BAY!

I was up in the Slauson SwapMeet back in 93 when I first heard of RBL. This is their second album, but the first one was a classic. This one right here is better produced and tighter with the beats but it get a little sluggish here and there. Bounce to This, Funkadafied with Listen to My Creep and the Sound Back to Back to Back, it will keep you Bumpin. 11, 12, and 13 are just sumpin to fill up the tape. Its too bad 2 of the 3 members that made this one happen is RIP. Mr. C and HitMan were the most talented. So, get this cause RBL will never ever be the same! These cats are straight underground all the way despite signing with Atlantic on their 3rd Album.

RBL Posse.

This album is a old school classic from the Bay. A couple songs are weak, but other than that its a pretty solid album with hard beats, hard lyrics. If your a Frisco Rap Fan, you should cope it.

A Bay Area rap duo formed at the beginning of the 1990s, RBL Posse (short for Ruthless By Law) was originally founded by Black C and Mr. Cee. Thanks solely to their own independent distribution through In-A-Minute Records, RBL sold almost half a million copies of their first two albums, Lesson to Be Learned and Ruthless By Law.
