Album Review
There is no such thing as "too much Tibetan bowl music." Xumantra, aka Marco Dolce, has a massive collection of sacred metal bowls from Tibet and other Himalayan regions. On Sacred Singing Metals, he combines their sonic qualities with bells, chimes, chants, gongs, and percussion to create "contemporary meditative worldbeat music." Those are Dolce's words from the liner notes, and they are modest and humble in their understatement. This soundscape is all that and so much more. These instruments have formidable healing qualities. The bowls resonate at multiple frequencies simultaneously. The vibrations are biorhythmic and atmospheric. This CD will appeal to fans of Anugama, Jim Cole, Life in Balance, Klaus Wiese, and Henry Wolff & Nancy Hennings.

My yoga instructor introduced me to this music. It is my favorite music to use in my massage practice. I find it very grounding and meditative. My clients tell me it's incredibly relaxing and soothing.
