Album Review

Sad Robots was the first release by Stars following their relatively successful 2007 studio album In Our Bedroom, After the War; the Extended Play was also the band's first release on the Soft Revolution label, which is where they would release their next few releases as well. Originally released only as a digital album, the band began selling physical copies of the EP online. Though the album was a success for the band's fans, the album spawned no singles and saw no commercial success.

Customer Reviews

An interesting departure well worth the buy.

Stars, Arts and Crafts premier pop group, have had their long runs of ups and downs in the scene. Each album of theirs manages to find a niche market, but nothing too wide due to the eclectic nature of each release. "Set Yourself On Fire" and "In Our Bedroom After the War" showed amazing talent and musicianship, but not exactly what some call "band-men-ship". This EP heads in a new direction where every song fits in perfect, and no one noise or lyric seems out of place. All the glitches and shoegaze sounds are something new for them, and it works. It really does. It's a good price and a solid EP, pick it up.

amazing!!!

absolutely beautiful! the album stays true to the core aspects of the band, while moving forward and exploring new territory. can't get enough of stars...

Amazing as always!!!

How can anyone hear Stars and not instantly love them? This is only an EP but its just as great as the full lengths. If you've never heard them before I'd start with Set Yourself on Fire....but you really can't go wrong with anything from them.
