Customer Reviews

My actual price: $0

To Royal122: This is Jim. Sorry you are bummed, I am too. The Blackberry ad was my record label's doing. THEY made the deal, THEY get the money. I was against it. I have no say. You would think that an artist would have control over his music in a situation like this, but it is oftentimes NOT the way it actually works. I still think putting your songs in commercials is wrong. I also knew that at least some of my fans would see me as being hypocritical, and I can easily understand why. The whole thing has caused me a great amount of anguish and I'm trying to figure out how to be okay with it, but all of my options seem to only make MY situation worse. I appreciate that you were kind enough to still say nice things about my music and I'm sorry I let you down.

You got $0, but you got me!

Hi Jim! I understand your frustration with the record label over the commercial. And still, you got me, I bought the song, loved it, bought the album, and when I tried to Google it, you were the first "suggested search" to appear in my dropbar, which tells me that you're getting a whole bunch of new listeners. Boo to the label, and yay to the new fans like myself. I guess it all evens out in the end. :)

Nothing but greatness

Jim, I agree with your comments about the blackberry commercial. That is how I came about your music and to be honest, it is great talent. It's truly a shame that artists are not getting their fair share these days...business can be cut-throat. Again, thanks for the inspirational music!!! Keep it up man.
