Still Outstanding
Despite Danse Macabre's less than enthusiasticly recieved premiere, it nonetheless is an amazing piece. This piece is so well written, and it really does tell the story of the Danse Macabre. You should definately purchase this piece. It is outstanding, and it doesn't even matter if you don't normally listen to Classical music. This is without a shadow of a doubt one of Saint-Saens' best!
Fantastic!
This album is completely awesome! I enjoy all of its songs.. Get it!
Charming
Dutoit and his orchestra convey the brilliance, intensity, and genius of Saint-Saens very nicely! Chung's solo violin is outstanding as well. I started with the Danse Macabre and enjoyed it enough to complete the album later.
