Album Review
The Same Old Blood Rush with a New Touch, the debut from Buffalo-based quartet Cute Is What We Aim For, is basically a product of the MySpace generation where hip self-assurance can lead to a record deal and a devoted fan base. And in the capable hands of producer Matt Squire (Northstar, Panic! at the Disco), bands like CIWWAF can be assured a polished album with catchy hooks and sweet melodies. One questions whether the band merely enjoys attempting cheeky doses of sarcasm or truly finds itself charming with lines like "I've got the gift of one liners/And you've got the curse of curves/And with this gift I compose words...are you perspiring from the irony or sweatin' to these lyrics?" CIWWAF also string along sentiments that often poke fun at their own existence and superficiality ("I spend more time in front of mirrors than any gent should/Because let's face it/One on one is more fun anyway"), and sharp scenester insight seems to be the point in the first place.

The Hickey That You Want To show Off
‘The Same Old Blood Rush With A New Touch,’ has a youthful, catchy beat, and realistic lyrics that has created a quick addiction for many teenager. The album deals with that awkward stage of being a teenager in this time frame, where they hit all the aspects. From having a crush, in the song ‘Risque’ to underage drinking in ‘The Fourth Drink Instinct’ or just trying to fit in, ‘Sweat the Battle Before the Battle Sweats You’, speaks out some of the troubles and joys of being an adolescence. Cute Is What We Aim For is for any teen who likes a catchy beat, and isn’t afraid to dance there steps.
I just got there CD and now itunes gets them ehh. I LOVE CUTE IS WHAT WE AIM FOR
Cute is What We Aim For, sounds Amazing for their first Album. They're songs are catchy and lyrics are written with great hooks, most bands starting out don't have. Shaant is a extremely talented songwriter, who uses alot of aliiteration(haha pun intended) "I've got birds in my ears and a devil on my shoulder, i've got a phone to the other and i still can't get a hold of her, whats a crush to do?". Each and every song has amazingly written lyrics. You won't regret purchasing the entire CD because each song has something to offer. My favorites would be, "Newport Living", "Curse of Curves" ,"Teasing to Please", Risque", and "4th Drink Instinct". All they're songs are amazing though. CIWWAF is my favorite band right now. THis is a buy you won't regret! 5 STARS!!!!!!
Great Cd
its a great cd but i couldnt find it on itunes until after i bought the cd at a store and clicked on the link, well any way it definetly is a great cd, so if you find the cd here before already buying the physical disc than get it as long as you are a fan of Cartel, Fall out boy, Panic! at the disco, or other popish emo bands. If you like more hardcore stuff than this would be a waste of 10$ because it lives up to the name of "pop"
