New SC3 is always good
This may not be the best album to check out if you have never heard of Secret Chiefs, but what is up with all the black eyed peas fans reviewing bands that they can't even comprehend. Are all these people just browsing along and decide "hey I'll put a useless review on here about how I'm so ignorant, that I don't understand why anyone would ever listen to anything other than kanye west." Stay in your narrow-minded element before you hurt yourself.

Best album since Book M
I think you can pretty safely disregard the 1 star reviews. Those seem to be from people that didn't know what they were getting into.
I would describe this as the best and most consistant album since Book M. And by that I mean that across the album, there's a consistent theme and set of musical principles.
If you love these guys, you'll love this album.
