Album Review

Junkie XL's debut is often more interesting in theory than in execution; as an attempt to combine rock and electronica on an equal basis, Saturday Teenage Kick is an admirable effort, but too often the ideas simply don't jell. Lacking the dense, complex production of acts like the Chemical Brothers or the Prodigy, the album never achieves the visceral power it's seeking — it's too dance-oriented for rock listeners, and vice versa.

This CD is what got me started with Junkie XL

Although I own the original CD from 1998, I couldn't help but read some recently bad reviews. This album shows a new release date of 2007. This album is almost 10 years old and still, in my opion, is some of JXL's best work.

Great for one of his First CDs.

This is not his latest release. This is truly exceptional work. Dealin With The Roster is the best!

Junkie XL

I was introduced to this band when Saturday Teenage Kick just came out. Despite it's not "fitting" into a certain category, those with the ear for solid beats, good mix, a driving rhythm will recognize the merits of this album immediately. Nothing short of solid work, period.
