Check out "Ghost Dance"
I first came upon these guys during my single days at a bar in Oregon when they were called Dizzyfish. The only time I ever bought a CD from a band performing at a bar. Favorite song is "Ghost Dance" from their Dizzyfish days. If you can find it, buy it.
AMAZING
I found these guys totally by fluke. My first name actually IS Jonah, and I typed it into iTunes just to see what would come up! I never expected to find a band who's unique voice and melodic surprises have kept me listening for hours!!! AMAZING
A well kept Portland secret
These guys have a big, very melodic sound with great vocals and textured instrumentation. The album kicks off with the sweeping anthem 'Sea Hymn' a must have song and a true tone setter for the LP. Other highlights include 'Radio Murders' a song that would feel right at home on a Keane album, as well as 'Grand Design' that starts with a deliberate rhythmic march that builds into a catchy chorus and tied together by a beautiful bridge, the lyrics of which supplied the title to the record. Start with those songs, but check it all out eventually, the album is deep with quality and will do nothing but grow on you with time.
