Classic Roe
This album is a rare treasure. Simple, acoustic, poetic and just easy to listen to. Mike Roe nails it with "Say Your Prayers."
Rolling in the deep
Where do songs like this come from? I'm not entirely sure, but if you've been there at some point in life, you'll find your soundtrack in Mike's writing. If you were challenged to write another way to say something about breaking into freedom one in 100 million would come up with the phrase, "Found a liberty bell hiding out in the attic, gonna take it out and have a good hard whack at it, maybe the sound will set me free..." Powerful, gentle, humorous, reverent, contemplative, painful, and healing, this is a wonderful chapter in the ongoing story that is the legend of Mike Roe. It's had my attention for years, and I'll continue to read until the last chapter.
