Melody meets Metrics- Dies' new album is a must own!

I've been a huge fan of showbread every since "No Sir, Nihilism is not Practical came out years ago and I have followed their evolution through their latest album "Who can know it?". I was so excited to hear that Josh Dies was putting out a second solo album, and the songs do not dissapoint! The beats, samples, and guitar riffs fit together perfectly with Josh's melody's/harmonies. If I were to compare it to showbread's music, I would say it's more along the lines of the "Who can know it?" melodies and structures, rather than Dies' 1st release, which is closer to the "Anorexia/Nervosa" sound.

Josh tackles serveral topics in the subject matter of the record including, non-violence, Calvanism, Open Theism, and Romantic Love, just to name a few. But I'd say that the main theme is simply a testimony that God makes all things new.

In closing, you should definitely buy this album. It's food for thought and a treat musically!

Thought-provoking and challenging

This album is chalk-full of thought-provoking lyrics as are all of Josh Dies' previous works, and the instrumentation here is incredibly raw. Pick this album up to support a great songwriter and for the dubstep breakdown in "Marana Tha!" at least!
