all hail dubstep
You've got ta give it 5 stars, just becuase its dubstep on iTunes. Can't find this stuff above ground (or in the U.S.) very easily. This are some great producers, but unfortuanately none of my top three favorite dubstep producers: Kode 9, Digital Mystickz, and Burial. But, its got Qawwali by Pinch!!! Wikkid! and Devil Boy's great as well as virtually anything by Benga. By the way, TONS of dj mixes of dubstep and grime available at barefilesDOTcom. My favorite djs on that site are Bunzer0 and Forensics. They spin all this kinda stuff without it sounding too electronic, or too ambient. Dubstep definitely is going down into the history books. Check out barefiles while this sound is hot.
Wow--what an introduction.
I have heard the expression, "dubstep," batted around for years, but never really clued in to what it was before, so this compilation was a real ear-opener and a total surprise. If you haven't heard dubstep before, it sounds kinda like tech-step jungle slowed waaay down--with ripping Yamaha DX7 sub-basslines, glitchy samples, and complex percussion structures. I am now addicted to this record (particularly "Qawwali") and recommend it to other genre-newbies!

to be honest, i hadnt heard of dubstep before this disc. now i am hooked. dirty, nasty, filthy stuff. absolutely brilliant. if you are looking for more, visit barefiles.com and you can download plenty of mixes straight from brixton and other english outlets.
