Fantastic Album. Genre Hopping Made Natural!
If you have eclectic taste in music or just want to hear popular music from a different perspective these guys are pretty amazing. Pretty unusual album with a beautiful sound. Classical, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Soul, Dance, IDM...pretty much all in one and it sounds natural and so well arranged. One of the more interesting things I've heard in a few months. The whole thing is a wild trip, but start with 'All Of Your Things' in its entirety.
Jazz/Hip-hop/Soul/Rock Fusion and it actually works this time
This album has fantastic instrumentation and arrangements. It hops all over the place from jazz standard to rap to R&B. I don't think two songs sound quite the same, yet there is a definite, unique sound to this duo. Also, I would recommend listening to this with proper speakers, as they do a great job utilizing a full range of tones and pitches - especially bass. The only thing that stops me from giving it five stars is that I'm not really sure whether I care for the rapping on a couple tracks - but it's growing on me.
