Crashing the indie artist scene...like no one else can.
Dennis Florine's music comes from a deeper place than most indie artists that I've experienced. I feel like the lyrics express something that's really going on--real pain, real love, like he's trying to put his humanity into his music.
The parts of songs like "For the Sinews of Your Footsteps" where he breaks into poetry are really well done, and I think they create a unique facet to his music that few artists can really pull off well. It's just another way he pours himself into his work.
He has so much energy and presence...and that's just through my computer. I wish I could see him in person.
"Scratching At the Surface Now" is One of My Favorite Releases of 2009!
It's so great when you can listen to an album of not only great music, but written and performed by an artist who clearly puts his entire heart and soul into each and every song. Florine is an artist worth keeping a close eye on. "Scratching At the Surface Now" will most definitely leave you wanting more!

I knew you would be big and here's proof... I have been a fan of Dennis since i was a freshman in highschool and that was before i heard his music.
