Surprising!
When I first heard that Ozzy was releasing a new album, I cheered and set aside the money to buy it, and went ahead and got 'Let Me Hear You Scream', the first single. It floored me, I loved it! So imagine my surprise when I went to the iTunes page and listened to the other songs' 30 second samples. I was severely disappointed. The album seemed solid as a whole, but lacked any memorable songs beyond 'Let Me Hear You Scream'. I went ahead and bought it though, as I had already decided to, and it still seemed worth it. So when I start it up, I was yet again floored. "Where did this come from?" I thought, "I didn't hear ANYTHING this good in the samples". I immediately went and changed my vote to 5 stars.
So my final verdict is simply this: iTunes and whoever decide the samples dropped the ball. The album is amazing, and it starts with an amazing power song, and ends with the most emotional Ozzy I've heard in years, and yet, by listening to the samples, all I heard was a shell of the former great. If they were to get better samples, then this horrible miscarriage of justice wouldn't of happened, and so many more people would be as floored as I am. Ozzy: A++, iTunes: C--
Mint
Ozzy at 61 years old is better then a lot of new artists today that's for sure!!!!
Over-produced
The songs for the most part are pretty average. The production or should I say overproduction is horrible. Ozzy should stop using all of these effects, it takes away from the music.
