Album Review
Swiss rockers Krokus had already been around the bend a number of times by the time they scored their first (and only) American platinum success with 1983's Headhunter. Shameless bandwagon hoppers that they were (their origins lay in cheesy, late-'70s progressive rock), the band at least deserve credit for mixing their musical stew just right on this occasion. The results include the frenetic title track, a highly competent power ballad in "Screaming in the Night," and their biggest hit — a reworking of Bachman Turner Overdrive's "Stayed Awake All Night." Mid-tempo rockers such as "Eat the Rich" and "Russian Winter" also receive energetic performances from the band, but singer Marc Storace generally makes a nuisance of himself with his grating screech, which falls somewhere between Bon Scott and Accept's Udo Dirkschneider. Though their ridiculous attempt to emulate the pop-metal posturing of the day (guitarist Fernando Von Arb's incessant pouting remains an especially horrifying image) would do them little good, Headhunter, at least, remains Krokus' finest moment.

Are you 12?
by Vinly45The review fails to mention the appearance of Rob Halford on Ready to Burn. This was the Krokus album to purchase. One Vice at time is also worthy. They were actully pegged as AC/DC wannabes at the time by american radio. If you weren't there don't give your opinion. Owned this one this vinyl at the time.
...total douche
by I agree the iTunes reviewer is a doucheInstead of injecting presonal animosity into reviews iTunes needs to hire somone who's more professional and can report without bias.
With that said, purchase music that you haven't heard only after listening to the clips offered for preview. Then, if you like it, buy the song or album. Don't rely on douche-written reviews.
Pretty Fair Review
by Count BlinkI think the review of this album is pretty fair (iTunes does not write these reviews, they come from Allmusic.com and I agree with the majority of Ed Rivadavia's metal reviews). The music was fun back in the mid eighties but, overall, it is middle of the road heavy metal. I saw them in concert back in '83 playing this and they fit well into the poser hairband mold of the time. It's fun to replay this for nostalgia's sake but to take it too seriously is a little over the top. The part about Fernando Von Arb's horrifying pout made me laugh out loud. What were we thinking back then??!! I give it three stars as a tribute to the eighties poser in all of us.
