Amazing!

Self Parody is like nothing you have ever heard or ever will again. With lyrics you will not believe and beats you can not deny Self Parody will give you a natural high.

Upbeat and catchy

I have the last few Self Parody albums and this has got to be the most upbeat and catchy one. The last one - Not the zoo but - was neat but was a bit of a downer. Minus "People" and "When the Race War Hits" the songs are mid and up-tempo. Not saying "People" and "Race War" are not good. In fact "Race War" is pretty epic, especially when the string section comes in the second chorus. (And in typical Self Parody-fashion you're taken off-guard by a weird dance-trance like section after the second chorus). My favs are the last several songs after "Race War". "Only Nothing" is awesomely addicting and sounds like it would be a crowd-pleaser live. "The Snakes Win" is catchy with it's bouncy bassline (song reminds me of the Cure a bit). "Flight Attendant" is manic and typical SP with insane lyrics like "I want to blow my nose on cocaine". What does that mean? Pretty neat. I really like "Years", you can definitely see the REM-influence there. And the insanely upbeat instrumental "The Sink" is on constant rotation on my iPod. By the way I actually do genuinely like all the songs on this album, and that's rare for me with a Self Parody album. Usually there's a few songs here and there on some of the previous albums that I don't like. This one - I like them all. Great, great album. Definitely a buy.

Worth the time & money

This album is a lot of fun. I recommend checking it out.
