The start of something epic!!!
This guy is serious!! It's refreshing to hear someone who not only has a lot to say, but can also say it in a creative way. Sure we'll all be hearing a lot more from Mag
Mag's "Selfless Acts" is really a Selfless Gift for all who listen.
Mag's "Selfless Acts" album is a truly well crafted collection of inspirational tunes that boast positive vibes grounded by a realistic outlook on the world. Fresh analogies force you to reconsider your take on what he speaks about, expanding your mindset while encouraging you to dig deeper into his album to hear more of what he has to say. The song "I'm So Unique" radiates the self-actualizing, positive type of message that you find other artists often try to send out, but typically lose along the way to contrived rhymes and dilluted analogies marketed for profit and not for honesty. Fortunately, Mag's genuine lyrics and grounded perspective keep him on top of his game here. As you move through the album, you'll find many of the tracks will reach out to you, like the hypnotizing hooks in "Life's Too Fast." A couple of listens are sure to mellow you out, lulling you into the type of zone the song talks about reaching through some smoke-infused mental relaxation. Mag's vocal abilities, as well as his collabortive efforts, are astounding and especially apparent on his track "Still Alive" featuring Skyzoo. The pair prove that hip-hop is, indeed, still alive -- and they're not just saying it. Plus if that hook doesn't get caught in your head ("East Coast, that's right.. West Coast, that's right.."), then you're either deaf or dead. All in all, a well polished and diversified offering from Marvelous Mag that is sure to solidify his current and future presence in the world of hip-hop for years to come. You'll be headin' for these tracks again and again!
True Hip Hop Is Back
True hip hop is definately back. Selfless Acts is soulful music at its best. Flawless from start to finish. Its a must-have album for fans of real hip hop.
