Beautiful Songs - Velvet Voice
A great album by this San Francisco Bay Area singer songwriter. His writing is first class and his voice sounds like he's channeling Nick Drake through cigarette smoke in a Paris cafe. Jon Evans, the bassist for Tori Amos, produced it and the musicians that join him on the album are just incredible.
Love this album
This is some great music. Very simple arrangements, but it the way they play off of each other is complex. Steven's voice has an earthy quality that I've not heard often. The band on the album is great -- very tight. When is the next album coming out? Favorites are 'Just Like Before' and 'Last Cigarette'.
