Masterful Work
I first found Emir Hot while looking at guitarmasterclass.net for guitar lessons and stumbled upon this album he wrote. He wanted to essentially combine Eastern Balkan scales and the Sevdah style of Bosnian music (sort of a bluesy style) with the metal sound. What it created was a masterful combo of progressive/neoclassical/power metal sounds and fast riffing on the Eastern scales. The vocals by John West (I believe) perfectly blend with Emir's wonderous guitar playing to make a great metal album.
