it's raw, it's imprefect, it's amazing, it's everything you want and expect from Jack Off Jill. It has remained my favorite CD for the 7 years I've had it. I've bought it twice because I wore it through. totally amazing. you'll love it or Jesicka will come kick your puppie.

Call me clever, is that still okay?

JoJ is amazing. This record will burn down competition for years and be scratched into history as a classic. Personal favorites that I believe to be strong points on this record are "Girlscout" and "Everything's Brown" but honestly you cannot go wrong with this record. It has treated me well over the years and I hope that it mistreats you just the same.

Peel Away the Shell

Often put on shock rock and riot grrl lists, Jack off Jill is neither. JoJ is a totally different and parasitic symbiotic creature. Find a rap album that handles Robin's bass sensibilities better. Find a Sausage Pot Bri song that sounds half as good as any of these without the effects. Find a screaming grrl band that can scream, growl, and sing as good as Ms. Jessicka and can blend them all together without severe auditory whiplash. Simply, you can't. Eclipsed and under-appreciated by those around them, I'll still be listening to this even after their one time compatriots have all stopped, or worse, start making dance music.
