Braille, One of the most solid lyricists in Hip hop!
When you think of the top lyricists in the art form of hip hop who do you think about? Talib Kweli, Mos Def, Black Thought, Jay-Z perhaps? Sure. But add another to that prominent category. His name is Braille! One third of the hip hop super crew LightHeaded, Braille is an amazing mic performer with a vicious habit of eating raw, in-your-face beat production for lunch, and spitting out their remains as lava like lyrics that burn deep into your consciousness. This is by far one of my TOP 15 hip hop albums I own of all time! And that is coming from an extremely picky consumer and hip-hop lover. And if that wasn't enough to say... The production on this is just about flawless! Great mixes! And beats you can listen to for months on end without getting tired of them for a second. Shades of Grey is a true classic!

I was playin flash flash revolution online the other day and I played this song called the return f superdouble. I immediatly google searched it and found out braille was the artist. I've only been listening to him for a short time but all I can say is that this is what hip hop/rap is supposed to be. not that solja boy crap, not guns and drugs lyrics - just alotta soul. Nas said hip hop was dead and I was with him until i heard braille. If you want real hip hop, not just the same recycled $hit thats popular now, get this album. and check out Braille's new album "IV" droppin in '08.

Braille brings it real, with honesty and integrity not often found anywhere, let alone in the music industry. Someone to look up to - as well as an amazingly dedicated artist. If I could pick just one album for everyone in the world to own, this would be it. Premium beats with meaningful lyrics. What more could you want?
