A true masterpiece
This album is a true masterpiece. Shadowplay have succeeded in creating a unique sound unlike anybody else. Dark, deep and ethereal but at the same time complex, upbeat, and beautiful, this music seeks to instill a feeling of inner peace while portraying just enough of a sense of sorrow to create a beautiful atmosphere of gothic bliss. I highly recommend this album and give my five stars with no hesitation.
Gives you shivers at times, VERY nicely done!
ShadowPlay is the perfect nemesis of Nightwish, so much so that the bands are almost one in the same. ShadowPlay has become one of my top alternative bands; it's music has the quality of something beautifully composed by angels - it's sweeping, beautiful, powerful, mysterious, and it makes you feel like you're in another place (if your a guy like me, you can imagine a place with beautiful women! Lol it has that edge - elegant music composed and performed by women makes me want to be in a place with them). Every song on this album is worth buying, yet my favorites are Faded, Once, Elegy, and The Hour, mostly because they, in my opinion, are the most sweeping and romantic. ShadowPlay has REAL potential! Keep up the awesome work!
