Its crystal stilts not crystal castles... How do you not know the name of your "favorite band"

Infectious. A Joy to Listen and Dance too.

Without a doubt, Crystal Castles is one of my favorite bands. This little nugget most certainly raises the bar of what I thought they were capable of, a bit happier in both lyrics and rhythm but still sobering with a sad monotone in the lead's voice.

It's a delightful mixture of Raveonettes meets Joy Division. Obvious parallels with the Jesus and Mary Chain but these guys are leagues ahead of the most recent crop of Jesus and Mary Chain wannabes.

Just can't believe this had been out for 8 months until I stumbled across it.

Formed in New York in 2003 by Brad Hargett and JB Townsend, multi-influenced indie rock band Crystal Stilts released their first work — some singles and an EP — in 2004 on the Feathery Tongue label. The first single, "Shattered Shine," was followed by a series of local shows and then a five-song EP on Woodsist in 2008.
