iTunes Review
With singer Chris Robinson appearing to have eaten a box of Humble Pie records and a sound that channeled the Stones and the Faces circa Sticky Fingers and A Nod Is As Good As a Wink, the Black Crowes’ debut quickly found a home on rock radio. Shake Your Money Maker opened with the casually magisterial “Twice As Hard” and the loosely rolling “Jealous Again,” both of which established the group’s most effective voice. By the time the flying-too-close-to-the-ground ballad “She Talks to Angels” and a roaring cover of Otis Redding’s “Hard to Handle” hit, the Black Crowes were the certified rock stars their music suggested they’d been ready to be. This edition contains three bonus tracks, including an acoustic take of “Angels” and another louche, boisterous rocker, “Don’t Wake Me.”

The beginnings of musical legends
by kaptkarlWhen I first heard of The Black Crowes It was the Summer of 1990..I was 14 and my brother got us tickets to see Aerosmith..He told me the warm-up band was called The Black Crowes..."never heard of them" i said...I don't remember most of the songs they played..but they were loud and had soul yet rocked at the same time...I remember talking about the Crowes the next day more than talking about the Aerosmith show...So I bought the album and I never looked back..If you like pure good ole Rock -N- Roll..pick this one up..I'm sure you've heard a handful of the songs on the radio...However, this is the only Crowes album that SCREAMS rock n roll...the rest of the crowes library takes music and your soul into another world...but Shake Your Money Maker isn't a bad place to start!! Just remember to thank Otis Redding!

Amazing Album
by Kaiidera869It depresses me that this only has 12 reviews before me. This is an amazing album I think everyone should listen to at least once. Seeing Things, She Talks To Angles, Jealous Again, etc. all amazing songs worth at least a listen.
I love this album, but they're even better live. How many bands can say that?
