Album Review
Barry Kingston & the Screaming Souls are essentially a modern-rock bar band, turning out accessible, melodic pop/rock that's about as hooky as Third Eye Blind, but not as heavy, since it feels a little bit like a jam band that doesn't jam. It's straight-ahead stuff, delivered without frills — the kind of thing that sounds good in a college-town bar. That may seem like a back-handed compliment, but it's not. Even if the band doesn't sound particularly distinctive on its second record, Shakin' from the Trees, they're amiable and modestly charming, like a neighborhood band. They have an everyman feel and that's their biggest attribute.

Incredibly good!!
I love this album! Barry Kingston and the Screaming Souls are an extremely talented band. The songs Shakin' From the Trees, Purple Sky, After Forever, and I Can't Do It Alone are particularly good. This album is very catchy, and the songs have deeper messages below their rock exteriors. Trust me, buy this album. You will be glad you did.

This album is amazing, and so are the others. Barry & the band are great people and their music reaches out to people of all ages. Shakin' From The Trees is an awesome song and sounds even better in concert!
