Wowtime!
1979-New Christian, fellowshipping at a Christian coffeehouse in Michigan. Servant came and blew the doors off the place, and this was the album they were touring! Downloading now, enjoying forever-thanks iTunes! More oldtime Jesus Rock please!
More Please!
"Light Manuevers" was the best of their albums. Please find it and post it. What a time to be alive, I saw them 6 or 7 times and I just loved them.
Old school
I started listening to Christian music around 1984 to get away from the lyrics of sex and drugs of the secular groups. Petra, Daniel Band and Servant where just a few bands who could even come close to musically competing with the secular market at that time. My first Servant album was Light Maneuvers which I believe was Servant's best album. So do not judge this group by these first two albums - they get much better as the band matured. I hope itunes will some day have Servant's album Light Maneuvers in there database for then I could rate that album five stars.
