With elements of ambient, techno, and especially world music traditions, Professor Trance & the Energisers make spiritually-charged music designed to aid in the pursuit of the contemplative inner journey that trance dancing represents. With extensive liner notes that include instructions on how to trance dance, descriptions of each song's origins, and an explanation of the group's mission, this is an intriguingly unique album perfect for anyone who enjoys meditation...or simply likes to chill out from time to time, for that matter.

Seriously tribal beats!!
I'm not particularly a fan of dance/trance music, nor of New Age mumbo jumbo (of which this album has more than a few doses, but the thumpin' bumpin' jumpin' intensity of the deep tribal tracks on this album is out of this world. Seriously danceable rhythms and transporting vocal chants abound. Pay particular attention to tracks #2, #3, #5, and #8. Laugh at the dopey spoken word of tracks one and six.

Simply Fantastic! If you are looking for meditative trance dance music, this is your CD! Track 4 sends shivers down my spine! Very tribal, quite grounding and incredibly healing! Worth it! Mary Beth

If you want to feel truly connected to your body and to the spiritual, find an open space, wait till night, light candles, put this album on, and dance your animal. it will open up new possibilities for you. Energy ... ecstacy! The man knew what he was doing. The music touches something primal!
