Superb for beginner!
Love Ze!! Great album.. and i also purchase 2 of her single I Am Glam and Hello Disco.. Must have album and singles!
Beginners always sound the strangest.
I came across Saer Ze on the infamous Myspace as she had added my podcast (Mom You're Ruining Our Fort) and although most artists tend to randomly add for publicity I began to hope that it was out of shear admiration. This album represents the musical trend that is beginning to encapsulate much of the "indie/mainstream" movement. As mainstream begins to embrace a multifacted face to music, more albums like shameless are going to result. Although I would not call this particular album fascinating, it does hold a particular charm that proves that pop music has a new face and that is one anyone can be. Between the ballad-pop of "What's the future like" and the what I am assuming is Malaysian influence on Soba Ni Iru Nara and the glitzy faux-coutour feel of "Too sexy", the album teems with possibility. However, only the latter and "My Love" really stand out as rememberable. Although I applaude the artist for the obvious efforts for ingenuity, it is defintively a freshman album: its a bit scattered but has some high and very interesting points. I enjoyed her ability to be explorative and that can be a strongsuite, but for this album it feels like it is just spread too thin.
