Perhaps better than "Collide..."
I feel like Mr. Day is destined to be a one-hit wonder, but I certainly hope not. I liked "Collide" very much and heard this song when I was shopping at Loehmann's. I instantly recognized his voice, despite only having heard one other song of his. I may like "She Says" better. It could possibly be a cautionary warning for his buddy to step off his girl, or he may be speaking to her ex-boyfriend. Whatever the case, if you liked "Collide," there's a good chance you'll also enjoy this song. Perhaps it will even surpass your expectations. I don't know why this song underperformed. It didn't even touch the Billboard Charts. I say he should re-release this song as a single, and not just exclusively on iTunes! Once Howie overcomes his "issues," maybe he can have a decent, long-term career.

she says is a fantastic song, with a great chorus. it is almost better than collide, which is the best song ever. She Says is one of Day's best single hits ever. it will fit perfectly in your Howie Day collection.
Get back to basics
I used to watch Howie at a small bar in VA just about once a week. He was so full of energy and i fear that his producers and label makers have tried to wedge him into a main stream act that is really not him.
I hope he reads this and listens, get back to who you are and you'll make a million.
She Says, Morning After, and all of your original music is amzaing, get on stage and yell, scream, and show how much you love to sing. Your audience will certainly respond.
He's awesome, its the corporate world that is filtering his talent.
