Underrated
As a huge Steely Dan-head I've been impressed with Jon on the many occasions I've seen him live. As Donald and Walt's go-to guitarist he often takes up the heavy lifting on their riffs and does an admirable job. I've always speculated he has some great solo material and found that in this album, and it doesn't disappoint. Poke around his other releases you'll see his versatility. If you like this album and "Like So", check out Marc Copely on iTunes--another underrated musician.

Jon has long been known as an "A list" studio player and guitar hero for Steely Dan....Jon's latest solo effort "Shine" provides listeners ample proof of his thoughful and poignant song writing skills. "13 Feet of Rain" is dramatic proof......if you appreciate the combination of solid song writing and virtuoso musicianship.....you have to hear this...
