Boney does it AGAIN!
Chalk up another ultra-smooth project by the sax master Boney James... Smooth jazz and even smoother r&b vibes flow through this stellar collection of new songs. Boney has always had a way with cover tunes, check out his rendition of the Dramatics 1972 hit "In the Rain." Boney, you should come out with an entire collection of cover tunes as your next cd project... The formula has worked brilliantly for Peter White and Kirk Whalum, and I can only imagine the impact that a Boney James all cover tune collection would have! I particularly like the instrumentals "Let It Go" and "The Total Experience." They tend to fall in the vein of great driving music offered up on every Boney James cd that makes cruising the freeways here in SoCal pleasurable. Keep up the great work Boney James! See ya at a jazz concert or festival real soon!
Bad to the Boney
When it comes to smooth jazz or R&B Jazz, there's no one better than Boney James. Started with Bobby Caldwell and since has become the top shelf of saxaphonists. This album is good start to finish.
The best cd out in 2006
EXCELLENT!!!!!!! I have all of Boney's cd's but this is by far your best work. I just purchased this cd today and I have played it all day. It is rarely you get a cd and like all the songs. I highly recommend this cd it was worth every penny. Keep up the good work and I will see you when you when you retun to the DC area.
