Soundtrack for an Irish American kid's life
Wow... I got to get out to see these guys again. Been a fan for years, and have seen them all around NYC. But this CD has a bunch of great originals that I am so happy to have come across. On top of being a flat out awesome live band.... they clearly have some songwriting going on. Real Irish Americana stuff. 22 and Whisper jump out at you. Kathleen Fee sings her heart out on the latter. And if you grew up in the Irish bars in the Bronx like me, Those Were The Days is all about you. So all you from the old Character's gang, Bainbridge and MacLean... or if you love the Saw Doctors, Corrs and Solas mixed with some Petty and Springsteen... download and enjoy.
A great CD
I have listened to many Irish groups and Celtic Cross has finally been able to create a cd that I can relate to. These songs are powerfull and very catchy about being Irish American. I recommend this CD to anyone who wants to listen to good music
